What is the DND Talent Inventory (The Inventory)?

The DND Talent Inventory will be used by the Department of National Defence as a searchable database of candidates ready and available for employment.   As a candidate, you will go through a step-by-step process and enter information on education, experience, interests, language, entitlements etc, which will then be used to create a personal profile.  Your personal profile may be sent to hiring managers who have vacancies to fill, for their consideration.

You will see several sections that may or may not apply to you.  The Inventory was created with great flexibility and meant to include applications from several communities, including employees with priority entitlements, military spouses, public servants looking for a change, non-public servants interested in working for the DND, veterans, candidates from job fairs, etc.  While all applications are saved in the same Inventory, it is designed to allow us to search by community.  For example, it is easy to isolate and focus on candidates from the Military Spouse Employment Initiative or to search exclusively for candidates from any other community.
